More than 300 young people took part in the Eastleigh Active Easter programme
For many, it was their first time trying these activities, and they really enjoyed themselves.

Over the past two weeks, more than 300 young people across the Borough got moving with the Eastleigh Active Easter programme.
Over 400 bookings were made across 11 exciting activities — including Aerial Hoop, Golf, Hockey, Nerf Warz, Skateboard and Scooter Workshops and more.
Free swimming at Wildern Leisure Centre was popular as was the AquaRun session at Hamble Sports Complex.
For many, it was their first time trying these activities, and they really enjoyed themselves.
In addition, the Eastleigh Active programme supported a focused swimming initiative, offering a subsidised week of intensive lessons to a cohort of 22 pupils — 12 from Bursledon Junior School and 10 from Norwood Primary School.
The aim was to build water confidence and assist the pupils in reaching the national curriculum target of swimming 25 metres before the end of Year 6.
A big thank you to the sports clubs, activity providers, facilities and Town and Parish Councils for their involvement and support.
