Eastleigh Mayor finds out what it's like to be vision impaired
He donned a pair of special glasses that makes the wearer experience what it is like to have *tunnel vision*.

The Mayor of Eastleigh, Cllr Dave Pragnell, had a taste of what it was like to be vision impaired this week.
Cllr Pragnell donned a pair of special glasses that makes the wearer experience what it is like to have *tunnel vision*.
Aided by a guide, he then attempted to walk in the town centre before going into a shop and tried to buy some food.
Cllr Pragnell said: “I have become aware there are day to day issues sighted people just don’t appreciate. Nothing can prepare you for wearing the goggles.”
The walk was organised by OpenSight, a Hampshire charity which is dedicated to supporting people living with sight loss.
The charity has a rich history dating back over 100 years and works to empower vision impaired people of all ages to live active, independent and fulfilling lives.
